Clifton Nurseries were delighted to donate some plants recently to The Floating Classroom educational charity on board The Electric Barge.

Based in the nearby Grand Union Canal, The Floating Classroom provides imaginative and enriching learning experiences for children and young people - all inspired by London’s canals and green spaces.

The plants included a mix of seasonal flowering plants and herbs including rosemary, mint and chives - and were planted up as a mini sensory garden for the Floating Classroom’s SENsing the way trips. Children will be able to touch and smell the greenery, providing a calming and grounding experience where they can explore their senses. And hopefully insects will enjoy the benefits too!
